Safety guidelines for visitors

At HELI, safety always comes first. We are constantly improving our safety standards, not only for our team, but also for our visitors. That is why we have introduced some new guidelines. We are always ready to help you. Together, we are working towards a safer future.
Safety guidelines when visiting HELI Wetteren
1. Always follow footpaths and pedestrian crossings
Our sites have clearly marked footpaths and zebra crossings. These routes are designed to get you safely from point A to point B. Please follow these paths to avoid accidents.
2. Escorted walking around the grounds
For your own safety, please do not walk around our grounds unaccompanied. Our HELI team is there to help you and make sure you find your way safely.
3. Smoking area
Smoking is only allowed in the designated smoking area at the refectory, near the red vase.
4. Wear a fluorescent jacket
When you are outside on our premises, you should always wear a fluorescent jacket. These vests are available from us and make sure you are clearly visible. An exception applies only when leaving the premises.
5. Driving out and gate procedures (everywhere in zone 20)
Do you want to leave the site by car or van? Then drive around the orange building (see orange lines on the plan) and press the green button at the closed gate. The gate will then open automatically. Outside regular working hours, you should always be accompanied by a HELI employee who will open the gate with a badge.
