Three brands to keep an eye on

Heli offers machines from SmartLift, UpLifter and Maeda. As a professional or private individual, you will always find the right solution for installing window frames, glass and walls. These three brands are innovative developers. They listen carefully to their customers and know what it takes to handle scratch-sensitive materials.

Smartlift

With the appliances in this range, you can handle glass up to 825 kg without losing the feeling for your product. This Danish manufacturer's various types offer the customer solutions for both indoor and outdoor work. Their specific construction allows manipulating glass up to a height of 4.50 m. The battery-operated drive system guarantees a full day of autonomy, and the emissions are zero.

You can do things with these machines that you cannot do with many mini cranes, i.e. transporting the glass from the glass rack right to the opening where you need to install it. The movable head allows you to carry the glass on the side of the machine if and when necessary.

New for 2018 – the SL608 Outdoor Highlifter now has an electrically driven head. As a result, you operate the head gently and continuously with a glass load up to 608 kg.

A flat surface is ideal for this type of machine, but these powerhouses with wide tires can even handle terrain that is more uneven. What if the site is too soft or soggy? In such cases, you can always use road plates and the standard stabilizers on the outdoor range.

UpLifter

This German manufacturer offers a wide range of separate units for installing and moving glass. From machines with small hand pumps to those with large powered vacuum pumps, they are all equipped with silicone-free suction cups. The larger types are ideal for mounting on a crane, mini-crane, telehandler or forklift, and, of course, a truck crane.

The units all operate on built-in batteries. So you do not have any hassle with electrical cable and suchlike during glass handling. The compact models (up to 600 kg) are perfect for working within limited dimensions. You can compose the larger models in different ways to allow handling very large sheets of glass, even up to 1,200 kg. Both types can rotate and tilt glass sheets around their axis.

Maeda

Powerful muscles are needed for better lifting work. The necessary know-how for that comes to us from Japan. You can use these flexible little Maeda powerhouses for all sorts of hoisting, and handle payloads of up to 8 tonnes. Their tracks allow them to move on all sorts of surfaces but they still do not damage concrete floors.

You have the option of a compact type with hydraulic stabilizers and an internal combustion engine and electric motor combination or a pure diesel powered machine with a cab. You can control these quiet machines flexibly and proportionally. The different boom types offer you solutions for every type of job. These machines are ideal for positioning glass, wooden and steel structures, artwork, etc.

So, it is just a matter of getting on with the job! But first, come and see us at Heli.
