Manitou, established in France in 1958, produces original forklifts for agriculture. The first MC5 looked like a reversed tractor with a forklift system. One development followed the other and eventually the telescopic handler (sometimes called a telehandler) was introduced. MT models with a fixed boom are the standard models. That was the case until introduction of the MRT with its rotating boom construction. Compact dimensions and the available range of accessories make Manitou machines extremely multifunctional.
And Manitou is well known for its aerial platforms (boom lifts).
